London gal Mae Muller’s ‘Pull Up’ is an effortlessly strong breakup bop

There’s so much personality in North Londoner Mae Muller‘s new single Pull Up that I almost want to let the song talk for itself, but that would reduce the likelihood of things I say being used in future press releases so I’ll say some things.

The subtlety of how she delivers that topline is out of control. It’s like she’s just dropped it in her bedroom, straight out of a journal, but it melts into the intimate production so tremendously. She could not have written that vocal better. Two Inch Punch are on production and they’ve created a beat that allows what she says to really stand out.

I’m hearing this and feeling the same way I did when I heard Octahate by Ryn Weaver. It’s effortless and perfect.
