Brilliant pop lads Little Sea have been kicking goals left right and centre lately. After their self-funded, totally self-written, indie debut EP Wake The Sun debuted at #1 on the Australian iTunes charts and their Australian tour sold out in ten minutes, their latest major milestone is a signing to Universal Music Publishing Group.
This opens them up to a huge world of people and facilities to write and collaborate with a global network of brilliant pop people. In Australia alone, UMPG’s home to Louis Schoorl, Alex Hope, M-Phazes, Ilan Kidron and a bunch of others who have crafted some of the biggest pop moments of the decade so far.
Our pal Heath Johns, the Director of A&R at UMPG, said “It’s rare for a brand new band to build a level of momentum like this in such a short space of time. Little Sea are young, focussed and energetic and most importantly they write great songs. We are really pleased to have them on board and we are looking forward to helping them build their careers at home and abroad.”
Little Sea will head to America after their Aussie tour to work on their debut album with a bunch of amazing co-writers and producers. Considering all their work to date has been written by themselves, their songwriting chops and direction combined with seasoned professionals are going to help make a seriously great debut.
