Lauv’s new single Getting Over You once again shows his incredible musical diversity. An artist, songwriter, and producer, Ari Leff has recently opened for Ed Sheeran’s Asia tour, and has had a hand in the creation of such amazing pop tunes as Charli XCX’s Boys and Demi Lovato and Cheat Codes’ No Promises. His latest single, released this past Valentine’s Day, is perfectly timed for anyone working through a breakup this month.
Getting Over You is the latest addition to a playlist of Ari’s songs entitled I Met You When I Was 18, all of which revolve around the highs and lows of a single relationship. This particular track features some truly spectacular vocal work, and somehow manages to strike a perfect balance between an emotional ballad and a low-key bop.
All of Ari’s recent solo releases and songwriting collaborations have been brilliant, and as a graduate of the program I’m currently enrolled in, I can’t help but be extra excited for him. I absolutely can’t wait to see what else he has in store for 2018.
You can catch Lauv on tour RIGHT NOW in North America, and he’ll be in Australia next month.
