INTRODUCING: Melbourne’s KEEKS makes a brilliant pop debut with ‘Leave It at That’

Whilst having a late night scroll through Triple J Unearthed I came across an artist named Keeks, admittedly I was pulled in because I really liked the top she was wearing in her icon (I NEED).

Her song, Leave It At That, starts with an understated piano track & Keeks’ vocals but builds into a big chorus, with Keeks singing about a one night stand? A summer romance? And wanting to just leave it at that.

“I don’t wanna see you in the morning.
I don’t wanna hear anyone calling your name,
I don’t wanna see you in the morning”

BUT THEN she jumps into the mixed emotions that come with this type of situation… does she really wanna leave it at that?

“Now I wanna see you in the morning
I sit up when anyone is calling your name
now I wanna see you in the morning”

I hope 2018 is the year of Keeks because I can’t wait to hear so so much more.
